EATING WITH AFRICA
A COOKBOOK AND TRUE STORIES
What is Africa? From South Africa, Uganda, and Madagascar through to Sierra Leone—over the course of one year, photographer Maria Schiffer cooked her way through the everyday kitchens of ten African countries, to try and figure that out. The result is a travel cookbook filled with moving photos and roughly 50 personal recipes and stories from people in all walks of life, from pastoralists to gourmet chefs. This is a true journey with true stories and true food!
The culinary travel route: Malawi, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, São Tomé and Príncipe, Uganda, Madagascar, Zambia, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone. Let Africa inspire you!
Since March 2020, the book is available in all German speaking countries (German edition). With a part of the proceeds the publishing house Dorling Kindersley supports communities and farmers in Sierra Leone, through so called Community Led Development. www.onevillagepartners.org
