What is Africa? From South Africa, Uganda, and Madagascar through to Sierra Leone—over the course of one year, photographer Maria Schiffer cooked her way through the everyday kitchens of ten African countries, to try and figure that out. The result is a travel cookbook filled with moving photos and roughly 50 personal recipes and stories from people in all walks of life, from pastoralists to gourmet chefs. This is a true journey with true stories and true food!
